New beginnings
Feeling refreshed
As the light returns and new life begins to poke its head through the earth, this month, I am relishing all things new and hopeful. I have finally broken the curse of writer’s block and am feeling nourished by the ‘step back in time’ attitude of Substack; this new platform I now call home.
My husband often says he was born in the wrong country, whereas I’ve always felt I was born into the wrong era. Do you ever feel like that? Like, maybe a century too late. I seem to struggle with the speed of this one. I long for the slower, simpler days of time gone by. To be honest, right now, I would just settle for the nineties. We are living in a time that if I dwell upon for too long, is quite frankly terrifying – AI being the most recent horror story I keep trying to avert my eyes from, which is why discovering platforms like Substack is so refreshing. A place where people come together to celebrate their creative works and intimate insights into their unique view on the world. No algorithms, no rules, no censorship and no Zuckerberg - well for now anyway.
So, this is where you are likely to find me now. I will continue posting short posts on Instagram and Facebook as I appreciate not everyone is the same, but most of my writing will be on Substack and my website, kaybackhouse.com
